Dedicated to Haiti Relief after the earthquake of January 12, 2010.
Some people fashioned shoes out of empty water or soda bottles, so as to not cut their feet on all the debris from buildings and homes being destroyed.  The foot in the assemblage is on debris, but also rocks, with teeth... representing the cries of the people.  Hands hold a rosary, as they pray for some relief to help them.
"Lord, In Your Mercy, hear our prayers!"

August 2019  "THE LEAST OF THESE"
My latest assemblage reflects the atrocities happening at the southern borders of the USA. People being put into cages, children separated from their parents, and more! "...the country is embroiled in a furious debate over the conditions of U.S. immigration detention facilities, as violence and poverty in Central America sends many refugees and migrants northward." USA Today, July 17, 2019

This assemblage is based on Matthew 25:40, where Jesus said, "..whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."      Also remembering part of what is written on the base of the Statue of Liberty, "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me..."
