Jumbo Shrimp Assemblage

Gathering elements for this assemblage

This was a fun assemblage.  Jumbo Shrimp, (an oxymoron!)

It features a marble tissue box that I turned on it's side, covering the hole with an agate sliced stone.  Inside the box I put a resin coated piece of driftwood, a glass bubble globe paper weight, and the jumbo shrimp (which are napkin rings).
Close up of front, with flicker battery candle
behind the glass bubble globe.

Back view - added more moss later
On the top I put another piece of drift wood that had the large bird originally on it, I painted the beak gold, and added some faded stain to the wings for more definition.  I added the handcrafted marble eskimo and moss around the base running up to the driftwood, and down the sides to the base, which are a stack of books.  Sitting on the corner of the books are small porcelain dogs.  The sides of the box have agate stone slices with eyes that have wings (since these photos I have added more moss around the eyes and the agate stone slice).

This piece will be featured at the Spring Show at Gallery 223 in Lake Geneva, that runs March 1st - April 15th.
